The boys are just 6 and 8, and other than the Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network web stuff, they don’t play many video games. We bought this because it’s more active.

The basic package come with only one control so I suggest getting another control. Also the controls run on batteries. Stores offer a rechargeable stand.
Wii play comes with a spare remote, and there isnt any vulgar terms used…we have Boogie, which is a singing and dancing game and comes with a mic, but the controls are actually quite simple, my 11 year old step son likes Cars…(the disney movie game)..anything with Mario should be age appropriate as well, even any of the cartoon games based on movies.
Hope that helps
My nephew just got a Wii, and as I am a lifetime gamer, it took no time to hook it up to the big TV and start playing.
It was great family fun during our last get together! The Wii rocks and I want one, and I’m 35! (With a wife and a daughter who is 3, also enjoyed it.)
I think they just bought him another (2nd) controller and nunchuck for multiplayer games. I didn’t get to see how that worked out though, 2 or more people playing the same game with multiple controllers, but that is what I would suggest for first accessories.
I want my Wii!! (Did I already mention that?!)
The boxing game was a great workout, and the baseball was fun, while not being too complex to play, with too many buttons to push, like on other consoles or PC’s.
Plus it can connect to our home wireless network without running patch cables or wi-fi adapters, much like the PSP it is WIRELESS! You can download various content, kinda like the XBOX 360 using purchased “points”.
Get enough controllers for all players to keep the peace. Also check out Raving Rabbits. MY daughter loves that game. It looks like a lot of fun.
Get your child Guitar Hero 3. It makes an excellent game.
Boogie is good.
Also Mario games which are always sure to be fun!
One another good game is Wario Ware. It has a bunch of mini games in it that are random.
i would get another controller to play 2 player
im 15 and i got a wii around february and after buying the wii i was short of cash so it took me 2 months to get another game and i still only have one controler and i now have two games
i suggest you get atleest two more games because if you make do with the first game you get with the package the lifespan isnt very good and i personaly got bored easily
and you will also need to get an other controler this adds more to the game you are playing and makes things less boring for younger children as you can go against eachother or work together on certain games which make things way more fun because no body likes playing against the console you can’t interact with it or be competetive with it
hope this helps!!!
the wii comes with one wii-remote and one nuncuck, so u should buy one extra. mabye u should also buy an extra game. there are alots of fun multiplayer-games 4 the wii
(not trying to be mean but good luckk finding one this christmas theres gonna be a shortage) get idk party games 2 wii remots 2 nunchucks
Get a second controller and nunchuck, get a set of rechargable batteries and a battery recharger. If you let them go online then set up the net nanny and use the same common sense when dealing with internet safety.. Don’t let them share their wii friend codes with strangers…
OKay, you need another controler with a nunchuk. Also, you probably don’t need this, but I’d go ahead and preorder smash brothers brawl.
there is going to be a nickolodean game for the wii
you will need another wii remote and nunchuck, about $60 for both. thats all you need right away for them. the base $250 unit give wii sports, nunchuck and a controler.
