Hi, i have a mario kart wii and i am okay at it. I have unlocked man y characters but i need some help to improve being faster. Also whats a mario galaxy save file?

A mario galaxy saved file is if you have Super Mario Galaxy and have saved memory on it you can unlock Rosalina as a character.
How I become faster is I take my favorite character and choose the best kart (ex. Yoshi Mach Bike). At the begining of every race when the count down hits two hold the accelerater button and you will start to charge up and when it says go you will get power boost. You can also when your drifting (must be on manual) go back and forth (like while your drifting go left and right over and over again) until you get a orange or blue power boost. The orange is the powerfullest one and the blue is the 2nd powerfullest.
When ever you get 3 mushrooms (fast) dont use them all at once because that’s a waste, use them one at a time until the other one is done.

The strategy guides talk about some basics on how to drive and stuff and what to do on certain parts of the tracks. Like getting the boost at the start of the race and power drifting which is important in speed.

Some tips for becoming faster are of course practice but theres four characters that add speed to certain bikes.
Baby Daisy and Baby Luigi-the bullet bike
Daisy-mach bike
Funky Kong-flame rider
i say always use a bike, and try to drift around all corners possible and wheelie on all straights possible. but practice makes perfect

The best thing to do to improve your skills is trying to beat the ghosts in Time Trials. It helped me out ALOT, especially on courses I sucked on like Ghost Valley 2.
A Super Mario Galaxy save file is just a file saved in the Wii’s memory from saving the game.
