I would like to make the Gecko OS 9, Ocarina, and a few other homebrew apps to have their own freestanding channels so i dont have to keep loading the homebrew channel every time i want to access these apps. now im pretty sure this is possible, having seen a breif glimpse of it in a vid i saw on youtube, but i cant find anything with a google search.

-If you want to download channels, try out WADder.net. They have plenty of channels to download on their main site and forum. These channels come as wad files, so you’ll need to install the homebrew app, “WAD Manager.” Its a quick and simple process.
-If you want to make your own channels, I recommend downloading and installing WADder and/or WAD Studio. These allow you to edit wad files and change the images and animations that are displayed on the channel’s icon and banner. Its not too hard once you get used to it. I have recently began making my own channels, even though I”m not that tech savvy.
-The best thing to do is make/download forwarder channels. They behave just like regular channels, but they automatically forward you to an app on your SD card. They take up very little space on the Wii’s memory, less than a regular app channel. With a regular app channel, you would have to uninstall it and install the newer version if it was updated. But, with forwarder channels, you would only need to replace the dol of the homebrew app with the newer version.
***I forgot to warn you that there is a small chance of bricking your system when installing channels on your Wii. The best way to prevent this is installing Bootmii or Preloader. These programs load up before the Wii System Menu does, enabling you to launch the homebrew channel and other apps while bypassing the system menu. Bootmii also allows you to back up and restore your system’s data (NAND).
I was installing channels on my Wii even before I installed Bootmii and Preloader, and I had never bricked my system before. So installing channels without the proper protection isn’t completely dangerous. But, I still recommend installing at least one of these programs.***

you can use the homebrew browser and download gecko os and all those others. then with the way you launched the homebrew channel, i believ you go and you click gecko like u did when u uploaded homebrew. but i suggest keeping gecko on sd card because to run your codes, you need gecko on it.
ocarina can be run through your computer. it is no use to have it on the wii.

~~As a response to jeff below. wads can brick your wii if you are not careful. i recomend just using a usb gecko or using ur sd card via sd card slot. i hack the wii my self and it is easier with sd card. not much time, you download the files on the wii not computer and thats it.
