We were playing a brand new, out of the package ‘Vertigo’ bowling game on our Wii last night and in the middle of the game, an alarm sound started coming from the tv or the wii console area. Everything froze up. None of the remotes would work so we turned the wii off manually. We searched through the operators manuals, but couldn’t find anything mentioning this. We started it back up and restarted the game and it eventually did it again, but not in the same area of the game.
I was thinking maybe we got a bad game and should take it back, but I also thought if it was an alarm, it should mention this in the Wii owners manual.
Has anyone else had this problem? Did you figure out what was going on?

I’ve encountered freeze up when bowling in vertigo in the city level. Sometimes when I hit the pins it freezes and everything is unresponsive. I have to do a hard reboot.
Have taken back the game once, other copy does same thing…
May just be a bad run of discs? haven’t found many other complaints so far. I plan to return yet again /sigh
Idk what you have but mine was a looong beeeping noise it did the very same thing but with a beeping noise on guitar hero it will eventually go away it only happen to me once and it stopped ever since i turned it off and turned it back on and played again
