How do I connect my Wii to the Internet using a WiFi adapter and still be able to use wired Internet?

I’m trying to connect my Wii to the Internet using the Nintendo WiFi adapter. When I install all of the drivers for the adapter, it changes my Internet settings to where I can no longer get online with my computer (Windows XP). I don’t have a router or anything and I’m only using a cable modem. I cannot figure out how to change the settings to where I can connect to the Internet without having to do a system resore (even when I uninstall the drivers it won’t change back). Does anyone know how I would be able to switch between the two connections or share them simultaneously? Thanks!

Try ‘bridging’ the connections. Under Settings -> Network Connections, select 2 network connections, one of them for the network card on your computer, and the other for the Nintendo WiFi adapter, then right click and select BRIDGE connection.
