How many Wii games need the Wii remote AND nunchuck?

i want to get a second wii remote but i don’t want to spend another $20 for a nunchuck to go along with the $40 remote.

I don’t have a number. The best thing you can do is look up the games you like and see if they require the nunchuck. Many of the games I have require (or are much better with) a nunchuck.

Most games don’t require a nunchuck but i would say the most fun games require a nunchuck like Super Mario Galaxy, The Conduit (should get it), Legend Of Zelda, and many others. I would say 40% of the Wii games out there require the nunchuck. You should get punchout it’s a really good game and it comes with a nunchuck.

Hope this answer helps = )

The bottom line is what games you are planning on playing. Ask yourself why you are getting a second remote. OK, obviously so your friends can play along in those multi player games…but I would venture to say that right now, you do not have multi player games that require a nunchuck.

So ask yourself what multi player games you are hoping to get and see if they require the nunchuck.

Off the top of my head, here are some multi player games that require a nunchuck in some capacity:

    - Wii Sports Resort (for specific sub games only – not the whole thing)
    - Grand Slam Tennis
    - Dance Dance Revolution (unless you turn off hand motions)
    - Fifa / Pro Evolution Soccer
    - Ghostbusters
    - Punch Out

There are of course more out there, but these are the ones that come to mind and I believe are more top rated games out there right now.

Many of the RPG games require a nunchuck, but you generally play those as single player anyway.

Hope this at least drives you in a better direction to look at what you need.
