I have a Wii with a 3.4 twilight hack. If I upgrade to 4.0 would it erase or worst, brick my Wii?

It is recommended that if you jailbreak any console, you never upgrade your firmware or you most likely will “brick” it. You were better off not jailbreaking it, mate – usually not worth it once it’s brick’d (even before sometimes).
@Ariana you cannot “jailbreak” anything besides an ipod touch or iphone.
the correct term for video game consoles is modding.
you installed the homebrew channel right? install a cios and upgrade. if you upgrade regardless no nintendo firmware upgrade will ever brick your wii.
