My Wii is giving a weird error message that the troubleshooting manual can’t explain.?

I turn it on, put in a new disc, and wait for it to load. After 30 or so seconds I get an error that says “And error has occurred. Press the Eject Button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii console off and refer to the Wii Operations Manual for help troubleshooting.”

I’ve tried looking but I’ve had no luck. Help would be much appreciated.

Is it only on one disc? maybe its scratched? dirty.

if all your disc do this, maybe a lens cleaner, the kind you use in cd/dvd players. NO LIQUID, just the brush kind of disc

can you play the downloaded games ok?

push both of them at the same time and wait a little and then it shuld be done…if it isnt working then call the ppl

If your Wii console is laying flat, it may be positioned upside down. Ensure that is positioned right-side up: the game disc slot should be above all three buttons and the SD Card slot.

Ensure that you are properly loading a Game Disc.

Make sure that you’re inserting the disc properly. The unlabelled side should be facing the three buttons and the SD Card slot.

If you know you are inserting the Game Disc correctly, but are still have the same problem with only one game (or if you only have one game), try cleaning the Game Disc as seen here:

    http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/ts/gameDiscClean.jsp

If all else fails, call the Nintendo Consumer Service Department and they should help you fix your problem. The number is 1-800-255-3700.

    Good luck!
