My wii’s power light is orangeish yellow and i was wondering why its like that. I need answers from people who HAVE had this experience with the power light on their wii. nee answers fast!!!!

i am not quite sure, but it has happened to me before. don’t worry, the wii isn’t on. after you turn if off, contiune holding it will turn red.
It means that its in standby mode. It does this so that it can remain connected to the internet even when its not fully on and can then still receive messages and updates. If you want it to turn fully off (the light will turn red when it is and will consume far less electricity) you can hold the power button down for several seconds or set it to not go into standby mode under the wii connect 24 section of the settings menu.
It’s in a “sleep” mode.
When you power down the Wii, you don’t actually turn it off, it just goes into a sleep mode, which is indicated by the orange light.
Green obviously means it’s on, and red is when it’s off.
The only benifit of putting it in sleep more is if you are connected to WiiConnect24 where your Wii can receive messages in that mode as well as being on.
Being off (red light) it won’t receive anything from the net.
To turn off the Wii you have to physically hold the power button on the system for it to turn red.
The orange light means that ur wii is connected to the internet, and u chose the option that u wanted it to recive news and information online while ur wii is off, so basicly it’s not even off it’s in standby mode. if you want the light to go away go to the wii menu and then look at the manual i forgot what to click to turn it off
it means wii connect 24 is on. the only thing it does is if you got a charging station that has to be plug in to the wii, it will leave it on for the charger, and also it leaves your wii on just in case you get a new message, in that case ithe rim will be glowing blue
It means that you have Wii connect24 on. Basically, your Wii is running and is able to receive messages from friends even though your away. To turn this off, go to the Wii menu and go to settings>wii connect24>then off.
Its On Standby Mode. Its on Standby mode because when you turn your wii off and hold the button for 1 second or 2 it turns that orangish color. If you hold the button longer i will turn red and be completle off.
it just means your wii is in standbye mode. that means you are connected to wiiconnect 24 and that your wii is off. that is what it is supposed to do
