Why Does The Wii Have The Most Games That Gotten Bad Reviews?

I think the reason is because developers aren’t spending much time on it to make it a game. Most of the games that gotten bad reviews are family games and casual and despite that developers are still putting games out there and I just don’t get it. The PS3 and 360 have games that gotten great reviews because their developers spend a lot of time on it to make the game a must have while the Wii developers aren’t putting enough effort to their games a must have. Every game should be able to use the Classic controller like in wrestling games and football. I wish the Wii version of Madden and Wrestling were made by Wii only developers that want to make the Wii version a great game because EA, THQ and Midway spend all their time on the 360 and PS3 versions. Developers are making the Wii boring to play if you played for than a year. I like the Wii version of COD 5 and the new Tomb Raider game. The Wii needs a balance of games for the hardcore and family games and casual. 50% of games made for the Wii hardcore gamers and the other 50% are for casual and family friendly gamers and if Nintendo did that then everyone would be happy and no one would be undeserved

The wii does have the largest number of games with ranks below 5/10.
This is mainly due to the fault of the idiot developers, who think “Oh, add motion control somewhere, that’ll guarantee 2 million sales!” So they spend, oh, a month making a game, and it goes out, get terrible reviews, and hundreds of people buy it. Because it looks “Fun for everyone!!!!!”.
Not the fault of Nintendo, and no, it doesn’t mean that the wii has the worst games (that is a matter of opinion), it just means it has the largest NUMBER of horrid games released.

Because developers don’t think they HAVE to spend time on the games. They know that many people are attracted to wii games and they don’t have to be good for some kid in ohio to beg his mom for it.

I personally think thats its the graphics on the games, compared to sony and nintendo sony crushes them, but thats just an opinion

It’s because there are people who don’t like PS3 & 360 games but enjoy nintendo games. Nintendo isn’t designed for hardcore gamers, it’s designed for those who just want a little fun. Obviously the reviewers like different sorts of games. I have found that many wii games get great reviews and I agree with the good reviews.
It may be true that Wii spends a lot less time on their games but this would be because their games are quite short. They also need to keep up with people who complete their games quickly.

Many of the people reviewing the games are in the “I’m a hard-core player” mentality, even when reviewing games that are meant for the “non-hard-core”.
These games will get low ratings since they won’t like them. And that’s fine, that’s their opinion.
Just because one person doesn’t like it doesn’t mean it’s a bad game.
Another number the “experts” look at is the sales of a game in the first two weeks of launch. In PS3/360 cases, a game released will sell like hotcakes for 2 weeks or so, then go down to a trickle. Wii games for some reason don’t follow that model.
Take Carnival Games for example. Horrible first two weeks, so the “experts” concidered it a flop. But it’s been consistantly in the top 10 monthly sales ever since its release. It’s still selling games, well after its launch. You don’t see any PS3/360 games doing this. Counting up the units sold, it’s a large success. It just wasn’t done in 24 hours or 2 weeks.
Wii, for unknown reasons, are breaking the molds of what most “critics and experts” are used to for calling a game a “success” and “good”. It’s new to them, and they have to get used to it.
It’s also unheard of for a system to be released for 2 YEARS before starting to be seen consistantly on the shelves. In about 30 years of home consoles, it’s never happened before.
PS3 and 360 games have had their fair share of non-successful games as well. It’s not just the Wii getting “bad games” put out on it.
