hey guys. me and my dad want to crack our wii. im more ready to do it than he is because he is worried about the wii getting bricked. he also wants to know if there is a way to reset the wii to system defaults using the firmware downgrader even after you install custom firmware. please help me because i have searched and searched for this. i really want to crack my wii!

first off the wii is NOT a psp, it dosent have custom firmware

download and extract to an empty sd card, so you should have a private folder and a boot.elf file

install the homebrew channel (and bootmii if you want to prevent bricks)
as for files for the homebrew channel (backup launcher, usb loader)
google is your friend
Its best to use homebrew. you can use it and get free games for your wii without ever having to open your wii and you can get rid of it whenever you want to
