When playing the wii everything is in color, and when we turn off the wii to go back to watching TV, two different times the TV has been in black and white. We have to turn the TV off and back on again to get the color back. The TV is a 54″ HDTV projection. I am wondering if the wii is somehow damaging the TV?

While that is odd, the Wii can’t damage your TV, but rather a glitch in your TV has been activated by the Wii. I suggest calling the manufacturer of the TV and/or calling Nintendo.
