Will A Gamestop Wii Lan Adapter Work Properly?

Hello,
I’ve recently bought a Wii Lan Adapter from Gamestop, after using one of my friend’s beforehand…but it doesn’t work, and I can’t connect to the internet with it…I looked it up, and saw that the adapter needs to be Nintendo licensed, being grey, with a logo and model number. Mine, from Gamestop, is white, with no logo or model number. Is Gamestop selling a faulty product, or am I just making a mistake somewhere?

it should work reguardless. go to your wii settings, then your internet settings, and set up the lan adapter. as for the internet goes, the wii internet channel costs 500 wii points ($5), then u can cruise the internet just like a computer.

    it depends.
My Lan adapter is a 3rd party from best buy.
Your best bet is to return it or sell it somewhere, and use the money you got back to invest in a Nintendo adapter.
What was the brand this was made by?
