I was wondering if that because you get a DSi/Wii Points Card to buy stuff on both systems, but both systems at the same time? I want you to tell me if so.

When you buy a points card you can enter the code on either your wii or dsi. Once you enter the code on one system the points are stored on that system and can only be use on that system. You can not divide the points between both systems.
